- Payment status
- Mobile Money operator details
- Note: We NEVER store your Mobile Money PIN or card details
Device & Usage Data
- IP address
- Browser type and version
- Device information
- Pages visited and features used
- Cookies and similar technologies

- Support tickets and correspondence
- Listing reports (fraud, scams, safety concerns)

How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide and improve our services: Create your account, display listings, process transactions, and enhance platform features
- Secure transactions: Prevent fraud, scams, and unauthorized activity; verify user identity; process secure payments through TrustPoint Pay
- Customer support: Respond to your questions, resolve disputes, and handle support tickets
- Send notifications: Order updates, account alerts, security notifications, and important service announcements
- Legal compliance: Meet legal obligations, enforce our Terms of Service, and cooperate with law enforcement when required
- Analytics: Understand how users interact with TrustPoint to improve user experience and platform performance
TrustPoint Pay & Secure Payments
TrustPoint Pay is our secure payment escrow service that protects both buyers and sellers during transactions.
How It Works
- Buyer pays through TrustPoint using Mobile Money or card
- We hold the payment securely (escrow)
- Seller ships the item to the buyer
- Buyer receives and confirms the item is as described
- We release payment to the seller
Critical Security Information
- TrustPoint will NEVER ask for your Mobile Money PIN
- TrustPoint will NEVER ask for your OTP (One-Time Password)
- Never share these codes with anyone claiming to be from TrustPoint
What We Process
- Transaction amount and currency
- Payment method (Mobile Money, card)
- Transaction reference numbers
- Payment status (pending, completed, failed, refunded)
- Audit logs for security and dispute resolution
Fee Information: Small service fees apply to TrustPoint Pay transactions. All fees are clearly displayed before you complete a payment. We maintain records of all transactions for accounting and legal purposes.
Data Retention
We keep your information only as long as necessary to provide our services and comply with legal obligations.
How Long We Keep Data
- Active accounts: We keep your data while your account is active
- Closed accounts: Some data (transactions, disputes) is retained for 7 years for legal, tax, and fraud prevention purposes
- Listings: Public listings remain visible until you delete them or your account is closed
- Transaction logs: Kept for up to 7 years for accounting and legal compliance
- Support tickets: Kept for 3 years after resolution
When we no longer need your data, we securely delete or anonymize it.
Security
We take security seriously and use industry-standard measures to protect your information:
- Encryption: Your data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest
- Access controls: Only authorized staff can access sensitive data, and all access is logged
- Secure infrastructure: We use trusted cloud providers with robust security certifications

Your Role in Security
Security is a shared responsibility. Here's what you can do:
- Use a strong, unique password for your TrustPoint account
- Never share your password, PIN, or OTP with anyone
- Log out when using shared or public devices
- Report suspicious activity immediately
- Keep your contact information up to date for security alerts

Your Rights & Choices
You have control over your personal information. Here are your rights:
Access Your Data
You can view and download your account information, listings, and transaction history by logging into your profile.
Update Your Profile
Go to Profile → Edit Profile to update your name, phone, location, and other details at any time.
Delete Your Account
Go to Profile → Account Settings → Delete Account. This is permanent and will remove your listings, messages, and profile. Note: Some transaction records may be retained for legal compliance.
Marketing Opt-Out
You can unsubscribe from promotional emails by clicking "Unsubscribe" at the bottom of any marketing email. You will still receive essential transactional notifications (order updates, security alerts).
Request Data Correction or Deletion
If you believe your data is inaccurate or you want us to delete specific information, contact our support team with your request.

Children's Privacy
TrustPoint is not intended for children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.
If you are under 18, you may only use TrustPoint with the supervision and consent of a parent or legal guardian. Parents should monitor their children's online activities.
If we discover that we have collected information from a child under 18 without proper parental consent, we will delete that information immediately. If you believe we have information about a child, please contact us.
International Transfers
TrustPoint is based in Ghana and primarily serves Ghanaian users. However, we use cloud services and technology providers that may process data outside of Ghana.
When your information is transferred internationally, we ensure it is protected by:
- Using service providers with strong privacy and security commitments
- Implementing contractual safeguards that require data protection
- Ensuring compliance with applicable data protection laws
Our cloud infrastructure partners include providers that comply with international security standards such as ISO 27001 and SOC 2.
